Here are some common drilling mud types:

1. Water-based drilling mud: Based on water, it is the most commonly used type of drilling mud. It has lower cost and environmental impact, but may have some impact on wellbore stability and drilling efficiency in some cases.

2. Glutamine salt drilling mud: The viscosity and stability of the mud are improved by adding polymers such as guar gum. It is often used to control formation pressure and prevent wellbore collapse.

3. Oil-based drilling mud: Based on oil, it has better penetration control and wellbore stability than water-based drilling mud. Oil-based drilling mud is used in some special circumstances, but its use is more restricted due to environmental and waste disposal considerations.

4. High-density drilling mud: used when high formation pressure needs to be controlled or when drilling depth is large. By adding substances such as heavy metal salts and barite, the density of the mud is increased.

There may be more different types and specially formulated drilling muds in practical applications. Different drilling projects and geological conditions will affect the selection of appropriate drilling mud.
